Come and shout us to victory – that’s the message to Gresley Rovers fans from their cup battling team on the night of their biggest game of the season.
Rovers entertain Oldbury United (7.30 pm) hoping to build on a 2-1 advantage from the first leg of their Banks’s League Cup semi-final, first leg.And Moat Ground boss Frank Northwood has pledged an all-out attacking performance from his team.
“We should have beaten Oldbury in our league game at their ground on Saturday after showing so much character to come back from two goals down,” said Northwood today. “It’s up to us now to improve on that and put the club into it’s first cup final for years.
“Were hoping that a big crowd will come and back us up. We won’t be sitting back on the lead we’ve already got – we’ll be looking for more goals.”
Northwood recalls Rob Philpott to midfield but there is no place for Jon Laws in a 13-man squad.
