Roome was voted Players' Player of the Year by his team mates
Matt Roome walked off with two of the most coveted awards at Gresley FC's annual presentation evening.
Roome was voted Players' Player of the Year by his team mates and also the manager Gary Ricketts' Player of the Year.The supporters voted by ballot and on the club's website to award the Terry Eyre Supporters' Player of the Year to John Guy.
Chairman Barry North chose Jake Carlisle as his Player of the Year while the directors chose Jack Langston as their player.
The Gordon Duggins top scorer award was won jointly by Gary Ricketts and Martin Smyth with Ryan King given the Press Award for being voted the most Man-of-the-Matches during the season.
There was also a special award as Clubman of the Year given to Gareth Harper.
The reserve team were also handed their awards with Max Atkin getting the Players' Player, Zack Hill the manager's award, Albert Lansdowne the chairman's award and Danny Jones the clubman award.
The previous evening saw the Youth and u16 Development Squad receive their awards.
Zack Hill was voted Youth Team Player of the Year by his team mates with Ryan Clemson claiming the manager's player of the season.
Chairman Barry North chose James Hemmingway as his player of the season and Josh Dutton, who also won the league's top scorer, claimed the double topping the Gresley scoring chart.
In their first competitive season the u16's development squad performed well in the Midland Junior Premier League with Aaron Harvey receiving the club's top scorer award. Zack Yates was voted by his team mates as their player of the year with Jack Brown gaining the manager's award.
