Steve and Ian are Moat toppers

Defenders Steve Dolby and Ian Earley took the top awards at Gresley Rovers’ annual dinner and dance.
Earley, who has ended speculation by re-signing for the club, was named as Supporters’ Player of the Year, while Dolby collected the Players’ Player of the Year trophy.Brian Beresford collected a special sportsman’s award, which was also made in recognition of his impressive 38-goal tally last season.
Kevin Banton was second team Player of the Year and Ian Shreeve was chosen as reserve team clubman of the Year.
Sunday team Player of the Year was Mick Wood and overall Clubman of the Year was Peter Hall. Mr Jim Costello of Burton Office Equipment, Gresley’s main sponsor last season, presented first team players with trophies to mark the club’s success in finishing the season as runners-up in the Banks’s West Midlands League.
