Eastwood Town Pre-Match News
Gresley have a break from the league as they take on Eastwood Town in the 1st Round Qualifying of the FA Cup at the Moat Ground - 3pm.
Manager Martin Rowe has signed three players for his squad. Young striker Charles Wilson, utility player Harry Austin and reserve team player Sam Kirk. With his options up front being stretched to the limit with an injury to Royce Turville and fellow striker Dean Oliver succumbing to illness Rowe has signed Wilson who spent three years at Birmingham City before being released at the end of last season. He played for the Skrill Conference North Vauxhall Motors outfit in pre-season but found the travelling difficult.Austin, a utility player who can play virtually anywhere on the pitch, joins from Redditch United and Kirk gets his call up from Gresley reserves.
All three are added to the squad for tomorrow's game.
Turville will definitely miss the game and after having a scan on his right knee is suspected to have torn his medial ligament which could see the Moat Ground favourite out for six to eight weeks.
There are doubts over Jamie Barrett (knee) and Jordan Nadat (back). However, it is hoped that Oliver will have overcome his recent bout of sickness.
Also back in the squad is defender Mitch Hanson who missed the midweek trip to Chasetown through injury.
