Gresley face Romulus tonight at the Moat Ground - 7.45pm. Romulus beat Gresley in the preliminary round of the Doodson League Cup on the artificial surface at Coles Lane a fortnight ago so tonight will be an early chance to avenge that defeat.
Defender Michael Nottingham has a chance of featuring for the first time since aggravating a thigh problem against Loughborough Dynamo earlier this month. Sam Woods could also be available but Danny Douglas is a week or so away although he should start training this week. Danny Holmes is also available this evening.Young goalkeeper George Woodward will retain the number one shirt as Gary Hateley is still away in the Far East on work commitments. Woodward kept his second clean sheet in his third first team appearance in an assured performance against Rainworth on Saturday.
One player who has left the Moat Ground is Lavell White who has failed to nail down a regular place this season due to the outstanding form of Rob Spencer. White as signed for Premier Division strugglers Eastwood Town.
