Rainworth MW Pre-Match News
Gresley joint manager Gary Norton is hoping to keep hold of defender Ryan Walker, who came in to cover for the injured Michael Nottingham who is doubtful suffering from deep bruising to his thigh, for the visit of Rainworth Miners Welfare tomorrow - 3pm.
Walker came in as a favour to coach Hannah Dingley from Thurnby Nirvana who very kindly waived the seven days to enable him to make an impressive debut against Northwich Victoria as cover for Nottingham.Goalkeeper Gary Hateley is in the Far East on work commitments so young keeper George Woodward will take over the number one shirt which he has successfully done on a couple of games this season. Norton said: "I've not yet had chance to see George play because when he's played I've unfortunately been away because of work commitments. But, from what I've heard and read he's done brilliantly in the two games."
Sam Woods and Dan Douglas are still a week or so away from fitness but midfielder Danny Holmes should be available.
