Stafford Rangers Pre-Match News
Gresley face arguably their hardest game so far this season as Evo-Stik Premier side Stafford Rangers visit the Moat Ground for the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - 3pm.
Manager Gary Norton looks set to keep faith with keeper Gary Hateley after Tuesday's defeat at home to Sheffield saying: "If I'm honest, I would still have stuck with Gary. He held his hand up in the dressing room afterwards and is big enough to do that."He wants to make amends for his mistakes and, over the past few years, has been instrumental in the success we've had. One bad performance doesn't make him a bad goalkeeper —he's been fantastic for us."
"We go in to this game as underdogs and for us it's a big tie against a big club. Like us, Stafford are still finding their feet after entering bankruptcy. They are a huge club with their history and it was only a few short years ago that they were in the Conference but with it being the FA Cup, it adds extra motivation."
Michael Nottingham and Phil Massingham will both face fitness tests ahead of tomorrow's match.
Both picked up dead legs against Sheffield, with Nottingham limping off at half-time.
Jamie Barrett could replace the big defender if he is ruled out, while striker Royce Turville is champing at the bit for a recall after missing out on the squad for the past two games.
