New Addition To Coaching Staff
Steve Titterton has joined the coaching staff at Gresley FC for the forthcoming season.
Titterton, son of former Gresley stalwart Alan, will work alongside first team coach Martin Rowntree and assistant manager Martin Rowe on the training pitch and brings with him an excellent knowledge and enthusiasm of the game as well as a wide range of playing contacts. Manager Gary Norton commented on his new recruit by saying: "We are really pleased that Steve has joined the club. He was doing some scouting for us last season and really impressed us with his work.
"As well has having a good eye for both the game and a player he is very keen to learn the coaching side of the game. With that and my work situation possibly affecting my ability to be at every training session in mind, we decided to offer him the chance to join the coaching staff and we are delighted that he accepted the role.
"He will work closely with coach Martin Rowntree on the training pitch and will be a great asset to have around the club for a number of reasons.
His addition to the staff will give both Martin Rowe and I greater flexibility between us to get out to more games during midweek than we have been doing to scout both our opponents and potential new players - something we were not able to do as much as we would have liked last season."
