Pershore Friendly Cancelled
Gresley's planned friendly against Pershore Town on Tuesday night has been cancelled.
Manager Gary Norton took the decision as a precaution as a few of those on duty in Saturdays game against Thurmaston Town have reported slight injury concerns. In addition the manager still has a few players unavailable due to holiday and work commitments.

He said: "We have a small squad of 15 signed players at the moment and unlike previous seasons have decided against having too many trialists around as most of last seasons squad have signed again".

"We've had a hard few weeks training culminating in a few lads reporting knocks after our first game against Thurmaston. At this stage of preseason its pointless taking any risks with injuries and on top of that a few lads are unavaible so instead we will have a light training session, assess the knocks and allow the lads a few extra days recovery."
