It's Home For Gresley
Gresley FC face the winners of the fifth round replay between Whitehawk and Marske Utd in the quarter-final of the FA Vase on 27th February.
Brighton based Whitehawk at present top the step 5 Sussex County league and Marske Utd are members of the Step 6 Northern League Division 2 sitting in second place.Manager Gary Norton told the club website: "After being drawn away in the last two rounds, everyone connected with the club really, really wanted a home draw and so we are obviously delighted to get it.
"If the magnificent support in our last two Vase away games and the home games against Dawlish and Spennymoor is anything to go by then we will have a great crowd behind us at the Moat Ground for the game. Whoever we end up playing after Marske and Whitehawk replay each other next week will undoubtedly prove to a very tough obstacle.
"Everyone will know that any team that gets into the last eight of this competition are going to be a very good side and so I personally had no preference as to what the draw held for us. The main thing for me was that we were drawn at home after being drawn away in the last two rounds and we’ve been fortunate enough to get that.
"Whilst we are very happy at our progress in the Vase, we now have three very important league games coming up before then and being so many games behind the leaders we need all the points we can get from them. The hard work for those games starts at training this week and it’s our job to get the lads fit and focused on Saturday’s home game against Gedling Miners Welfare."
