One In One Out
Nathan Rolph looks set to be leaving the club after receiving an offer of a football scholarship in Canada with Toronto FC.
The youngster is due to leave the country in early September but looks likely to have played his last game for the club in the weekends 2-2 draw against Coalville Town.

Meanwhile on the incoming side the club can announce that Paul Edwards has again signed for the club and will be available for games once the cricket season concludes.

Edwards played much of last season in central defence but will provide manager Gary Norton with an option again at the back or in a more familiar forward role.

Norton commented: "Its great news that Paul has agreed to come down with us into the East Midlands Counties League.

"We met last night to sign him and he's looking in good shape and is up for the challenge of next season. He's been keeping himself fit over the summer but unfortunately has cricket commitments for the next few weekends.

"Once they are complete he will join us for training and provide us with an excellent option in the squad as he can play just about anywhere.

"Without being fully fit he was great for us last season in the UniBond so a fitter Paul Edwards playing two levels down will no doubt prove to be a great asset to us at whichever end of the pitch we decide to deploy him."

In other news Norton is still awaiting a decision from Mark Strezewski after Mickleover Sports' game against Rotherham was postponed last night due to adverse weather.

The Gresley FC manager had hoped to find out today if the defender would be joining the club but the postponement of last nights game means Strezewski's decision will probably not now be made before the weekend.
