Gresley FC Reserves' manager Martyn Rowntree has signed nine of last season's squad as he looks to build his team for the new season.
Rowntree said: "It's a big bonus for us that so many of last season's squad have agreed to remain at the Moat Ground for another season."We played our first friendly last Thursday at Bardon. Unfortunately, we lost three one with our goal scored from the penalty spot by Chris Burnham.
"Several triallists were included in the starting line-up, Steve Pamon, Daryle Towle, Ashley Franklin – who played a couple of games for us last year and has decided to give it another go -, Matt and Richard Draycott and seventeen-year-old Dean Waite.
"Unfortunately, Waite had to come off after 30 minutes of the game suffering from a twisted ankle but he has impressed us enough during pre-season to sign him.
"Another couple who have also shown potential in pre-season is Mat and Richard Draycott who we've also signed and I'm hoping that there will be a few more new additions before the start of the season."
