New First Team Coach Appointed
Simon Van-de-Broucke has been named at First Team Coach at Gresley FC replacing the recently departed Dave Fleary.
Simon is a former Gresley Rovers Reserve team manager having left the club in 2005 for spells as manager with Borrowash Victoria and Long Eaton United in the Northern Counties East League. He then joined Micklover Sports as Reserve team manager before moving to Shepshed Dynamo for a short spell as Assistant Manager in 2008.
On the appointment of Van-de-Broucke club manager Gary Norton said: "Simon has agreed to rejoin the club and I am very pleased with his appointment.
"He brings many qualities to the club and I'm very much looking forward to working with him again. He's got a good knowledge of the level we will be playing at and more importantly an excellent network of playing contacts in and around the catchment area of the league we anticipate being in.
"Simon also brings with him some fresh ideas of his own from a coaching perspective and I'm sure he, together with the rest of the management team will again prove to be a valuable part of the team here."
