John Starkey
The club are saddened to announce the death of former player John Starkey aged 73 years.
Many of you know that up to a few months ago John, even though he was not in the best of health, could regularly be seen sitting in the stand supporting Rovers. In the 1960's he was the chairman of the Supporters Club, and along with his friend the late Mick Harrison helped raise considerable funds for Rovers.
Everyone at Gresley Rovers would like to offer deepest condolences to John's wife Peggy and his family at this very sad time.
