Volunteers being sought at the Moat Ground
Gresley Rovers are asking whether any supporters are able to commit to help ensure everything runs smoothly on a match day throughout the new season?
The Board are supporting some exciting fundraising ideas during the 2008/09 season but their success will be a reflection on the number of volunteers available. In addition to fundraising volunteers are also being sought to sell, programmes, work on the entrances to the ground and supervise parking in the vicinity. The club will aim to best match people's interests and abilities with the jobs that need to be undertaken.
The Gresley Chairman, Mark Harrison, is urging supporters to think about what they could do to help. "A club in our position needs to maximise fundraising opportunities on a match day but we're unable to do everything we'd like to at present."
"If people could give us a small amount of time on a regular basis then it could make all the difference. If four or five people came forward and offered to help for the hour up to kick off that would make a tremendous difference and boost our income."
"We have a few volunteers that already put in a lot of work and I don't want them to feel over burdened especially at the start of the new season."
