Chairman's Chat
As many of you will know by now, Penny Kelsey has resigned as a Director of Gresley Rovers today and she is also leaving the club.
I would like to thank her for the time and effort she has put into Gresley Rovers and wish her well for the future.

This again is part of the restructuring of the club and as part of that I am delighted to announce that Ken Hogg has agreed to rejoin the club as Head Steward and Safety Officer.

Also Ernie Talbot returns to us as kit Manager for the first team with Matt Dingley continuing to work along side him. It really is fantastic news to have Ken and Ernie back here with us and helping us to move Gresley Rovers forward.

As I have stated in the last few days we all have to pull in one direction at the club to make this work and what's in the past is in the past, forget it, move on and start working for now!

Can I just say a big thank you to Barry North for all his hard work last week, when you lose a member of staff it's up to those left to fill the gap and Barry did just that.

As a result of his hard work he has sorted the secretary positions out for two of our three teams and we have a new person that has applied for the reserve team secretary coming to see me this week.

This does mean that Reg Shorthouse has stepped up to the position of the first team secretary and I thank him for doing so at short notice and wish him all the best in his new role.

I will announce the other new secretaries names next week when they have been confirmed to me.

David Ryder has joined the club as Press Officer as well as helping us with our marketing and PR. David will continue to cover Gresley Rovers on a match day with true and reflective reports on our matches.

Dave and myself have a meeting with Rob and Matt this week to look at the web site and try to get it earning a bit more money for the club, so look out for some changes in the near future.

I was talking to Steve Hinks yesterday and he is so fired up about our new youth side and was saying that both trial dates went well and he has ended up with 41 good lads to choose from! Well done Steve it's a fantastic effort and I know you have had help from a few others that are attached to the club, thank you all.

We will continue to build on and off the pitch in the coming weeks and I personally have a few things left to sort out down at the club. I look forward to working with all the people above and I feel strongly that each and everyone of them will bring something positive to the club

We still have no news yet of a new sponsor for Gresley but we are working on it. We are however selling a lot of new advertising boards and these are being processed as I speak.

Can I remind you that it is the presentation evening on Friday and you have just got enough time to book in if you would like to come. If you have booked and you are attending could you get your money down to the ground on Thursday evening.

Please try and help the supporters club out with their mass painting party, the ground is looking tired and it would be great to see you down there to help out.

That's it for now thanks for reading this and I hope to see you at the presentation evening on Friday to support the lads.

Cheers
