Charity Game
Three generations of Gresley Rovers managers will be looking after the home side in the dugout at the Moat Ground as a former Gresley Rovers X1 take on Derby County All Stars X1 in a charity game arranged for Sunday November 11th, kick off 3pm. Admission £3 adults, £1.50 Children
The game has been arranged by ex Moat Boss Frank Northwood to help raise funds for an Alzheimer's Organisation.The Rovers side will be managed by Northwood who will be accompanied by ex manager Steve Dolby and current manager Gary Norton in the dugout.
A number of ex Rovers greats from days of old will be on show at the game as well as a number of familiar names and faces in the Derby County All Stars team.
Northwood said: "We are hoping for a good turnout on the day to help raise funds for this fantastic organisation. Gresley Rovers have kindly allowed us to use their facilities and we are obviously grateful to the Derby County Vets side for agreeing to take part in the game. It will be great for both Gresley and Derby supporters to come down to the game and see a few old and familiar faces playing". He added: "I'm delighted that both Steve Dolby and Gary Norton have both agreed to run the side with me"
A confirmed squad for the game will be announced prior to the game but it is expected that the following players will be involved:
