Woolley returns to the Moat Ground
Barry Woolley
Gresley Rovers are pleased to announce that Barry Woolley has agreed to join the club until the end of the current season.
Barry contacted the club after leaving Hinckley United at the beginning of the week and Gresley responded very quickly to tie up the deal to bring the popular defender to the Moat Ground and he has now been included in the squad to face Skelmersdale on Saturday. At the beginning of November manager Gary Norton arranged with Hinckley to take Barry on loan to help him regain his match fitness after a recent injury. He played his first game against Osset Albion scoring the first goal in a 2-1 away win and a further two games at Harrogate and at home to Clitheroe before being recalled to the Marston Stadium.
Barry made his first appearance for the club in February 2001 after being signed from Rocester by former manager John McGinlay. His final game for the club was at the end of season 2001-2002 before joining Ilkeston Town.
