Gresley sign two
Gresley Rovers have signed Adrian Francis from league rivals Eastwood Town and Nick Guislanzoni from South Normanton Athletic.
The 20-year-old Francis can play either as striker or in midfield. When Gresley manager Gary Norton heard that he had been released from his contract he acted quickly to sign the player. Norton said: "Ady had two years left on his contract but there appears to have been some kind of a fall out. He was highly regarded by Eastwood and Lincoln City wanted to sign him in the summer but Town wanted a sizeable fee."We got wind that he might be available and the player himself approached us about a move. Worksop were desperate to sign him but he didn't really fancy that, so we are delighted to have got him. He's 6ft tall, strong, pacy and we are quite excited to have him around the place."
Also joining the Moatmen is Nick Guislanzoni, signed from Rovers' FA Cup preliminary round opponents.
Norton said: "Nick will start tonight and he gives us that bit of steel and physical presence we have lacked this season and last.
"When we signed him last pre-season, he left because of very valid personal reasons, but he has assured me he is up for the challenge, and if he plays as we know he can, he is going to be very hard to shift out of the team.
"However, it is not all about the physical side with Nick — he can play also.He is creative and can get forward and score goals, which is something we have been lacking from midfield."
