John McGinlay said he was well pleased with the attitude and effort of his players during Saturday's games at Eagley Sports.
"It was nice to see the midfield having some shots and we scored some very good goals." he said.
However the trip was spoilt by the thigh injury to new signing Alex Green who was forced to withdraw from the second match."It was nice to see the midfield having some shots and we scored some very good goals." he said.
McGinlay will have to make changes for their next match which is against Notts County at home on Wednesday in the Bass Vase.
Mark Sheils keeper is out through a knee injury and Barry Woolley, Stuart Evans and Richard Wardle are on holiday.
Both new signing John Allcock and Ian Bluck should return to the squad after missing Saturday's games.
Green is unlikely to play and Andy Cheetham, who has just returned from holiday, is short of match fitness.
