AFC Telford pre-match news
Rovers go into their final game of the campaign looking to finish the season on a high at promotion chasing AFC Telford Utd (Sat 3pm).
With automatic promotion still a possibility for Telford if they can better Ilkeston's result an estimated 3500 is expected at the impressive New Bucks Head stadium. Rovers' manager Gary Norton is looking for his players to restore some pride after Tuesday nights showing against Willenhall. Norton said: "We produced without doubt our worst 45 minutes of the season in the first half on Tuesday night. We were all over the place for some reason and despite rallying well in the second half we had left ourselves a mountain to climb. The disappointing thing is the result of the Mossley/Kendal game went our way meaning a win would have seen us go into this game still with a slight chance of making the top six. We only have ourselves to blame for that. I suppose all we have to play for now is pride and after the worst result of our season I hope the players respond despite the fact that it's our last game of the season. It's important we give it our all and we owe it to the other teams in the title race to give it our best shot. More importantly, we owe our supporters a performance and I will make sure the players are fired up for the occasion. Telford are desperate for a result but it's in Ilkeston's hands now. All they can do is make sure they do all they can to get a result against us in the hope that Ilkeston slip up.
"Bernard McNally has, after a slowish start, put together an excellent unit at Telford. They are unbeaten now in the last 18 games which is an incredible achievement so it will be a big ask to go there and win but we must be positive. They have come from mid-table and almost timed their run superbly and even if Ilkeston don't slip up tomorrow I would still fancy them to do well in the playoffs."
In team news there are doubts over Defenders Jamie Hood (Back), Gary White (Ankle) and midfielder Micky Lyons (Foot). Nial Hudson returns to the squad after his return from the States whilst top scorer Aaron O'Connor will return after missing the midweek game due to work commitments.
Norton said; "We have a few injury concerns but name a 17 man squad for the trip. Jamie Hood is the biggest doubt after he injured his back on Tuesday but we will assess Gary White and Micky Lyons at lunchtime tomorrow and make decisions then.
