Gresley Rovers striker Chris White took his first competitive steps back from an injury layoff of two and half years when he came on as a substitute in Gresley Rovers reserves victory last weekend over Shepshed Dynamo.
With about twenty five minutes left Chris White was brought on and immediately showed his class as well as assisting in the setting up of the goal with minutes remaining.

Gresley Rovers Reserve Team Manager Dave Acton commented: "Chris made an immediate impact and whilst it's early days, with a few more games and continued training I'm sure will see him return to full match fitness relatively quickly."

Chris speaking after the game said: "It's great to be back, I have been training for a few months now, but this was an important milestone for me and I am pleased that I came through it ok."

Chris last played a game for the first team against Redditch United on 20th April 2002 and had knocked in 8 cup and league goals that season.
