Marc Laws signs for Rovers
Gary Norton, Marc Laws and Mark Evans
Marc Laws has joined Gresley Rovers from Ilkeston town.
Marc will be at Rovers game against Matlock tonight but will watch from the stands but he will be available for selection from Saturday. The American born Laws started out as a trainee at Mansfield Town and formerly played for Eastwood Town before joining Ilkeston Town in August 2003 where he became an integral part of the team. Rovers boss Gary Norton on securing the services of Laws commented. "Mark comes in at a good time as we are looking to add to our small squad to give us a little strength in depth.
"He can operate in a number of positions, upfront, in the hole, or across midfield. He can also score goals too. I've been a fan of his for a while and he first took my eye last season when we were looking at Aaron O'Conner.
"He's been in and out at Ilkeston this term due to the fact that Phil (Stant) is blessed with a squad of such depth and quality there. He's really looking forward to coming here to fight for a regular place and I really hope we can get the best out of him because if that's the case then we have a great signing on our hands."
