Hinks recognised as assistant manager
Steve Hinks
Gresley Rovers have today announced that to better reflect his role and responsibilities Steve Hinks will now be recognised as an Assistant Manager.
Gary Norton, Manager commenting on the announcement said "Since he joined the Club Steve has been the Coach, but his role and responsibilities and indeed his contribution to the Team and the support he provides Alan and myself, is much more than that, and I think this will more adequately emphasis that input.""We are determined to keep the nucleus of this side together and continue the progress we are making; Steve is an important part of the team and makes a valued contribution. The Club has received several approaches for him, some quite recently and whilst I am pleased that he has chosen to stay with Gresley, I want to better demonstrate this role within the Club".
Mark Evans, Chairman added "this is a natural development, Gary, Alan and Steve have been working together as a team. We have a great dressing room and spirit within the Club and it is very evident that we have a team mentality, with everyone supporting one another and recognising the skills and experience of others."
Steve Hinks, who is UEFA B qualified, was previously at Atherstone United, Hednesford Town, Stafford Rangers and former manager of Pelsall Villa, joined Gresley Rovers during August 2003.
