Rocester pre-match news
Gresley Rovers are back in league action as they look to follow up Saturdays emphatic win over Ilkeston Town with another good performance against Rocester.
Rovers last league outing was the 2-0 home defeat by AFC Telford and Rovers boss Gary Norton is keen to get back into the points again tonight. "The Telford game was a disappointment and we are looking to bounce back tonight but it wont be easy," said Norton. "Games against our local rivals from Rocester have always proven difficult in the past and I'm sure tonight will be no different. They got a great point at Ilkeston a fortnight ago which proves that in this league, anything can happen"

Liam Hebberd misses tonight's clash as he serves a one match suspension for his sending off against Willenhall Town a fortnight ago. Manager Gary Norton has a couple of injury doubts for the game. Skipper Matt Smith is struggling with a back injury picked up in Saturday's game whilst striker Justin Rowe limped out of the action at half time with an ankle injury and is also a doubt.

Smith is a major concern to the Moat boss as he looks to keep together the central defensive partnership of Smith and Jamie Hood who have made an impressive start to the season. Norton commented, "Defensively, everyone has done well so far this season. We have kept 5 clean sheets in our last 7 games and a big part of that has been down to the form of Smith and Hood at the back so we are obviously reluctant to change things in that area. However if Matt isn't fit for tonight's game we won't have much choice in the matter. He was struggling with his back during the second half on Saturday but managed to finish the game. It has stiffened up considerably since and is quite sore so he will have some treatment and we will leave the decision till as late as possible before deciding on what to do."
