Op for Chris White
Chris White

Chris White

Gresley Rovers striker Chris White went into surgery this morning (Tues) to remove a cyst and repair a tiny tear in what is hoped will mark an end to his long injury nightmare.
Chris last played a game for the club against Redditch United on 20th April 2002 and had knocked in 8 cup and league goals that season.

Chris had been attending pre season training but feeling some slight discomfort, the Club and player wanted to investigate the problem as quickly as possible. A scan was arranged for yesterday and on identifying the cyst Chris was booked into surgery for the minor operation.

It is hoped that Chris will resume training within 2 weeks.

Gary Norton commented that he hoped that this would bring an end to the problems Chris has had with injury and that within the next month Chris will again be available for team selection. "He is a talented striker, he's young, and being as keen as he is, I am sure he will soon be back to his best"
