It's UniBond for Gresley
It was confirmed at the FA National Leagues meeting in Loughborough on Sunday, which was to unveil the final selections for Level 3 and its feeders, that Gresley Rovers would be playing in the UniBond Division One from next season.
Gresley will renew rivalries with Rocester champions of the Midland Alliance and, surprisingly Willenhall Town who will now be the most southern team in the UniBond League. The two sides last met in the West Midlands League on 25th February 1992 Gresley winning 3-2 with Neil Lovell (2) and Gill Land scoring.
Gresley Rovers and Spalding United last met in league competition back in 1960-61 season when we played in the Central Alliance Division 1 (South).
Eastwood Town have also been old adversaries when we were both members of the Central Alliance Premier and East Midlands Regional Leagues in the 60's.
