Moat Ground purchase moves a step nearer
A price has been agreed between Gresley and landlords Mitchells & Butlers and chairman Mark Evans said that the club is ready to take the next step.
He said: "This was discussed at the last board meeting and we are beginning the next two phases. This involves talks with our financial partners and advisers along with drawing up the legal documents, with the view to purchasing the ground."These two phases will run simultaneously and we anticipate them being concluded relatively quickly.
"We are taking it a stage at a time, but at the end of phase three, Gresley will have control of the Moat Ground.
"We are confident that we have made arrangements to obtain the funds for the project. We went into phase one knowing we would have to raise the funds."
