Devastating news for Ian
Ian Bluck

Ian Bluck

Defender Ian Bluck, who was carried off the field during the FA Cup clash with Buxton at the Moat Ground, has received some bad news.
Earlier this week Ian had an operation to repair the cartilage damage to his knee which was successful. But, during the procedure the surgeon discovered, to his dismay, that Ian had also fractured his leg.

The fracture had been missed on x-rays by two hospitals. The result is that Ian does not know when he will be able to play football again.

Ian has had to pay for the operation himself and the club have decided to help raise funds to help him.

Chairman Mark Evans said: "Ian is very down at the moment and does not know when he will be able to play again. He had to stand the £2000 cost for an operation on a similar injury to his right knee at the end of last season and now has had to pay again so the club is going to try and help raise some funds for him.”
