Gresley Rovers play their first ever Beazer Homes League game tomorrow with manager urging local football fans to get behind his side.
On the eve of the visit of Dudley Town (3pm) Dolby said: “ It’s a historic game for Gresley and with Burton Albion at Dover it would be nice if all local football fans would come and support us and give us a day to remember.“I expect all the fans who have followed Gresley in the past to come but there are a lot of floating fans and I hope they’ll turn up and support us too.”
Dolby chooses from a 16-man squad featuring new signings Martin Devaney, Robbie Briscoe, Tony Marsden and Mick Taplin.
Craig Weston is a doubtful starter with a stomach strain while other new recruits Graeme Rigg and Dave Swainston are both unavailable.
Dudley have also been busy recruiting during the summer and Dolby said: “I know a lot of their squad. They’ve got a lot of players from Lye Town and Halesowen Harriers – a lot of players fans will recognise from previous years.”
