Rovers must pay price of success

Gresley Rovers took a step towards the West Midlands League Cup final last night – but at a cost.
Rovers beat Westfields 2-0 in the away leg but finished with two players injured.Centre half Stuart Evans – still under Derby County’s scrutiny – failed to appear after half time after picking up a groin strain and midfielder Craig Weston – scorer of Rovers’ second goal – was carried off in added time with an ankle injury.
Manager Frank Northwood said: “The injuries have given us a few problems but we’ll come through.”
The return leg is on April 14.
