Win proves costly for Rovers

Gresley Rovers face a mounting injury problem after at least three players picked up serious knocks in last night’s 2-1 win over Paget Rangers at the Moat Ground.
Full back Martin Dick and top scorer Paul Acklam, who had earlier scored his 22nd goal of the season, were both substituted in the second half after picking up injuries.Meanwhile utility man Scott Elliott, making his first full appearance since breaking a bone in his leg in October, picked up what Northwood described as a “very nasty knock” in a late incident in which Paget striker Carlton Miller suffered a suspected broken leg.
Defender Stuart Evans and striker Kieron Smith both sat out last night’s game with injuries but both hope to be restored to fitness in time for Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash at Lye Town.
