River Plate not Moat Ground

John Gregory and Juan Pablo Angel
Off the wall Aston Villa manager John Gregory has invoked the hallowed name of Dr Martens Division Western Division Gresley Rovers in an effort to gee-up his under-performing star striker Juan Pablo Angel.
Gregory takes his Premiership under-achievers to Sunderland this evening with Angel yet to find the net since his transfer from Argentina two months ago.And the Villa chief has admitted he is looking for £9.5m record signing Angel to start delivering the goods immediately.
Former Derby player Gregory has been patient with the former River Plate player who has failed to hit the target in six matches while he adjusts to life in the top flight in England.
But Gregory said: " He's still got to produce, whether he cost £9.5m or 1,500 quid from Gresley Rovers. The good thing is that he's not one of these players who has just come to England for the money. He is desperate to succeed."
Webmaster comment "How Angel is playing at the moment he wouldn't get in Gresley Rovers first team!"
