FA roll out red carpet for Frank

Frank Northwood headed off to Lancaster Gate today admitting: “It’s surprise, surprise time.”
The Gresley Rovers manager said he had no idea what kind of trophy he would be receiving at a non-league manager-of-the-year awards ceremony.“Regardless of what it turns out to be, it’s nice for me and good for Gresley Rovers,” said Northwood before setting off for FA headquarters in London along with club chairman Peter Hall.
“We’ve come a long way over the years. There have been a lot of hiccups along the way but I’ve enjoyed it. It’s all come right in the end and I hope it’ll all come right again this season. We won the league in style last year but it’s a lot tighter this time around. All I’m looking for is for us to arrive at the top of the table by the end of April.
Northwood names a squad of 15 for tomorrow’s trip to title-chasing Paget Rangers. It includes former Willenhall defender Jason Minton.
