Wembley hero Kieron Smith is one of three players absent from Gresley Rovers’ squad for tomorrow’s Centenary Rosebowl clash with Chesterfield at the Moat Ground (3pm).
Smith, along with skipper Richard Denby and defender Scott Elliott, is away on holiday.Meanwhile, injury could delay the debut of defender Stuart Evans, who signed for Rovers last night but is doubtful with a groin strain.
Midfielder Stuart Stokes, striker Brian Beresford and second string keeper Tony Moore have all been under treatment for knocks during the week.
Manager Frank Northwood chooses from a 15-man squad which includes 22-year-old Des Anderson, son of the former Derby County assistant manager.
Kegworth-based Anderson junior, who graduated in economics from Reading University recently, is a left-sided midfielder or defender who has appeared in the English Universities select XI and had a spell with Wycombe Wanderers last season.
