Hip hooray for Ravi!

If there was one encouraging sign to come out of Gresley Rovers' 3-0 defeat at league leaders Hinckley United last week it was the performance of new signing Ravi Sangha.
The man signed by boss John McGinlay from Midland Alliance outfit Wednesfield made his Rovers debut at Middlefield Lane and provided the bright spot of a very gloomy afternoon for the Moatmen.Sangha was signed by McGinlay to add a new dimension to Rovers' attack, the Moat boss explaining he thought his side lack a bit of pace up front.
And although Sangha failed to mark his debut with a goal, McGinlay, the former Bolton Wanderers and Scottish international marksman, was pleased with what he saw.
"What problems we did cause Hinckley United on Saturday were caused by Ravi," said the Moat boss.
"He likes to run at people and his pace will cause teams problems, we have just got to give him a bit more support. He didn't get an awful lot of the ball on his debut and that's something we'll have to address. "We are also looking for a few more players to start chipping in with goals, not just the strikers."
