Bedworth United pre-match news
Manager Jon Newsome is likely to keep the same squad that won 2-0 at Sutton Coldfield Town last Saturday.
Defender Ian Bluck (hamstring) has failed to recover but midfielder Craig Hopkins (ankle) could possibly be back in the squad.

Newsome said: “I am thinking of keeping the same squad as everyone did well at Sutton. If the game goes ahead tomorrow it will be a difficult surface and we will have to play as well as we did at Sutton.

“We will have to play the game the way the conditions dictate – we did it last Saturday and got a good result and a clean sheet.

“The biggest reason we did well was because of the midfield but all the lads dug in and we defended well.

“I don’t think we’ll win promotion this season because Bromsgrove, Merthyr and Weston will be the three sides that fight the promotion stakes out. We are 12 points behind 2nd placed Merthyr.

“I have asked the lads to beat last season’s league position to show we’ve progressed.
All we need is a bit of self belief and we can get there.

“The club is healthier financially and when the club is on an even better financial standing promotion will become the aim.”

Chairman Mark Evans said this morning (Friday) that he was fairly confident that the game will go ahead despite the weather conditions.

“We could have played on our pitch on New Years day and we have had the pumps on since then. We will have chance to get the pitch ready tomorrow as long as it keeps fairly dry,” he said.
