Gresley boss Frank Northwood has no plans to risk his first team squad for tonight’s final Banks’s League game of the season at Rocester (7.30pm).
Rovers play Borrowash Victoria at the Asterdale Bowl on Thursday (7.30pm) in the first leg of the Derbyshire Senior Cup final, with Gresley aiming for a record-equaling fourth successive win in the competition.Northwood said after last night’s 0-0 draw with Blakenall at the Moat Ground: “To be fair to all our fans, I would like them to know that no first team player will be involved at Rocester.
“The team will be a mixture of reserves and youth team players.”
Rovers achieved Northwood’s aim of 100 league points with a 4-0 win over Malvern on Monday, making their total 101 last night thanks to a brilliant display of goalkeeping by Tony Moore.
Rocester choose from the 13 on duty in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Ilkeston Town.
