Gresley Rovers ain to wrap up the Banks’s League title at the Moat Ground tonight (7.30pm) – and gain a measure of revenge at the same time.
Visitors Oldbury United were the first side to inflict a league defeat on Gresley this season when they won 3-1 at The Cricketts in October.

But Rovers boss Frank Northwood warned today: “It’ll be a good side that gets the double over Gresley – and we’ll be doing something to make sure they don’t achieve that tonight.”

Northwood is hoping for a bumper crowd with Rovers needing only to avoid defeat to clinch the title.

And he stressed: “We certainly won’t be going out there looking for a point – we’ll be looking to get all three and win the title in style.

“We’ve been tremendous this season and we mean to carry on right to the end – I’m looking for 21 points from our remaining seven games. We’re not going to stop playing as soon as we reach the winning post.”
