Arnold St Mary's vs Gresley Rovers
Boucher Hat-trick as Shoot-on-sight Arnold shatter Gresley
Gresley Rovers must still be wondering what happened on Saturday when they visited Arnold St Mary's and went down 1-6 in a Central Alliance Premier Division game.
This savage blow at their goal average was due mainly to Arnold centre forward Boucher who got a hat trick well before the interval.
He scored in eight minutes and 13 after two defensive slips by centre half Peter Rowe, and although Fitchett reduced the lead after 26 minutes, this spark of life was shortlived.
Only a few minutes later, Boucher collected a loose ball and blasted in from 30-yards for his hat trick. Arnold made it five before the interval when Ball scored two within a few minutes.
There was no secret method about Arnold's play. They just took their chances and shot whenever possible.
Gresley were too casual and cleared badly. Anthony completed their embarrassment just before the end with a high lob that completely fooled 'keeper Smith.
