Gresley Rovers vs Grantham St Johns
Rovers just couldn't do anything right in the first forty five minutes against lowly Grantham St Johns
Two goals down at the interval they had been outplayed by a team only five places off the bottom of the league table.
Grantham scored after thirty seconds through Wilcox and just as Gresley seemed to be getting back into the game Johns struck again, Gibbons finding the net after a free kick had rebounded off the crossbar, he beat Ian Slaney easily with a well hit shot.
Manager Gordon Duggins must have given the team a 'rocket' at half time because they responded by scoring four goals in a twenty-four minute spell.
Dave Calvert reduced the arrears in the 55th minute after collecting a cross from Francis. Then Geoff Leeson cracked home a superb 67th minute equaliser. A mistake let in Leeson and he rounded Edwards to put Rovers in front.
Eleven minutes from the end Leeson completed his hat trick and took his tally to twenty six for the season. He picked up a cross from Francis before smashing home a right-foot volley.
