Eastwood Town vs Gresley Rovers
Rovers recorded a 4-3 victory at Coronation Park their sixth league win in seven games.
It was almost entirely due to one five-minute period of brilliant co-operation between the forwards and halfbacks at the end of which Rovers were ahead, John Insley opening the scoring after good work by Keith Mitchell.
In the next minute Tim Norris got another, seconds later Johnny Boulton got the third, Niblett reduced the arrears for Town, but Boulton again restored the lead, Radford and Arthur Rowley gave Town hope but Rovers held on for a close victory.
